Project was partially started during summer 2015 but was eventually postponed by the CNC project and cold weathers. The frame is made of 40x40x1.5 mm square steel tubing. The front wheels are built on 20" BMX rims and sport 20 mm through hole hubs with disc brakes. The rear wheel is built on a slim 26" mountain bike rim with a Nexus 8 internal gear hub. The head tubes for the front wheels are from two completely destroyed donor bikes that were found lying abandoned.
Currently missing special components are: bottom bracket, cranks, chainring, 3rd head tube for handlebar, handlebar, chain idler pulleys and seat.
Current goal is to have the trike standing on its wheels by July 2016 and seriously usable by August 2016.
Around July 2016
I think it was rolling by September. Further tweaks include machining a front chain guard to keep the chain from falling off. Currently (Jan 2017) the frame needs some repairs.
